Francisco finally came after 7 years I have been here. It was a good time , eventhough there are a lot of fights in the middle of the whole trip. Mom said I will regret of fighting with him instead of treasuring the time. To be honest, there is no time for regret. I treasure everything even the fights that we can have.

Thanks to Frankie Magazine, I got to check out this interesting website called The Finders Keepers. They were advertising about the indie designer weekend market which will be held this weekend in Herston. ok. I am going. I decided to go. It looks like I will have to prepare a little bit more $$$ for retail therapy this time. haha.

Found this Alice Nightingale online store thru them as well, amazed by the pictures on the website, how cute and sweet it is! But i am not sure if i am still in the age of polka dot tho! Can't wait to check out their clothes this weekend. can't wait to go to the market! I will surely get my camera charged and ready for this market, gotta take a lot of pictures there!

嚴悅勤和郭少珍相互扶持29年，二人雖常常吵架，但仍然相愛。嚴太分享一字在於「忍」及雙方有同樣的信仰。

After reading this news, it reminded me of my grandparents, they celebrated their 60th anniversary couple of years ago as well. I wasn't there to celebrate with them coz of my studies here, but they are truly inspired and touched me in the way they live together, my grandparents truly love each other... =) I suddenly miss them very much..!

this picture was taken 1.5 year ago in Feb 2010. That day wasn't only the chinese new year but valentine's day as well. My sister and I got bouquets of roses from our sweet dad and we took this picture with our grandparents with the nice flowers. It was 1.5 year ago, realized that i didn't take much picture last time when i went back in Aug this year. should hv taken few more.

Funny! now i understand why working ppl enjoy office comics and jokes!

“You’ll never find a guy like that, Sis,” my brother said late one night when we were having a session covering everything from goals in life to ideal marriage partners. I was home from college; he was on furlough from the Marines, and we were catching up on many new ideas the adventures of the past year had produced.

I admitted frankly my disappointment in so many of the fellows I met. They were nice guys, all right, but kind of “wimpy”. I was referring to fellows with no backbone, no ideas, and worst of all, who let me run them. I naively declared that the man who could interest me would be someone with definite objectives arising from conviction; who was able to discipline his efforts in that direction. I’d be even more intrigued if he happened to like ideas and be somewhat clever. As the evening wore on I added more and more qualifications, until my brother gave up in despair. Who did I think I was, he wanted to know, the Queen of Sheba?

I realised the wishfulness of my thinking, but the high ideals I set for a husband proved to be important after all. God used them to keep me from many foolish entanglements that would have done little to benefit either my character or experience. It wasn’t just men I was idealistic about, it was everything. I remember at thirteen writing in my journal, “Hitch your wagon to a star”. The allusion was somewhat corny perhaps, and theologically unsound, but I liked it. A couple of pages later I wrote, “Aim high and keep your aim”. Apparently these concepts became part of my thinking.

Life had so many possibilities. I used to ponder a lot about all there was to know and see and do. There were books to read, places I’d never been, people I’d never know about. I wish now I’d devoted time to mastering a musical instrument or even excelling in one sport. I must confess that I considered some of my girl friends who were boy-crazy rather foolish. I liked boys and I expected to marry someday, but to have one’s happiness dependent on who called and when seemed a rather precarious existence. It was also like admitting defeat, as if one didn’t have any independent source of fun. And to date indiscriminately in order to be popular — I considered this foolish.

I not only thought about these things, I also wrote them down. When I was an eighth-grader one of my teachers suggested that I buy a journal or diary with blank pages. She encouraged me to write down my thoughts when I felt strongly about something or read a passage of great beauty. I liked this idea and bought such a book. On those pages I poured out feelings which often even I didn’t understand. It was good emotional therapy, and it was also good intellectual exercise as I was forced to put feelings into words. Reading them now, years later, is like seeing myself grow up.

On one page I had written a note to myself as a freshman in college called “Remember”. It goes like this:

When you think about marriage, gal, don’t forget what you think it should be and don’t be content to settle for less.

Remember you want a man who likes to walk in the rain, read good books on a quiet evening, look at the stars and learn new things, who likes to rake leaves in the autumn and listen to good music.

He should be clean and good, somebody who loves God as you do, who wants his life to count for something, who won’t settle for a small world. Don’t forget. Remember.

Sitting on the attic floor looking through a box of old keepsakes recently, I read this account and looked across at my husband as he dug through some of his old memoirs. I thanked God for putting the dream in my heart for this kind of a person so I could recognise the man God had for me.

Fortunately I didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about romance in my early college days. I majored in journalism at Michigan State University, toying with the idea of becoming either a newspaper woman (preferably a foreign correspondent) or an advertising wizard.
My faith grew tremendously in my years at Michigan State and I was discovering more and more that the most important part of my life was knowing God through Jesus Christ. I had known Him as the truth and had accepted Him as my Saviour many years earlier. Now I was discovering Him was a real person, my dearest friend. I guess I can honestly say that it was during my college years I really came to love Christ and to find living for Him the goal that mattered most in life.

After a freshman year without meeting any other Christians on campus God brought me into the local Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship group known as Spartan Christian Fellowship (SCF). Meeting Christian students who had a vitality in Jesus Christ that I didn’t gave impetus to my spiritual growth. The Bible became a new book, exciting to read and share with the other girls who lived in our dorm. God was becoming someone to trust in the most practical areas of life.

The faculty sponsor of SCF and his wife, Paul and Doris DeKoning, often gave me a ride home from church on Sunday mornings. I didn’t catch on too fast, but the year I was a junior in college Doris kept talking about this handsome fellow who had been active in SCF and who was back from service to finish up his degree at State. Had I met him yet? She’d ask me this question each Sunday on the way home. Then she’d remark about how terrific he was. Somehow we missed meeting for the first month-and-a-half of school. She asked me about him several times, but even then I didn’t remember the name. I thought she was just pleased that our SCF group had some new male leadership.

And so it was that our SCF Halloween party found me sitting next to the most wonderful man in the world and I didn’t even know it. We were busy playing a silly game called “Zip-Zap”. The person who was “it” would stand in the middle of the room, point his finger at a victim and say either “Zip,” which meant that you give the name of the person on your right, or “Zap,” which called for the name of the person on your left. A good get-acquainted game. And I kept leaning over and asking, “What did you say your name was?” because I was so worried I’d be called on that I wasn’t concentrating very hard on the name. “Keith Hunt,” he’d say each time, and I was so involved I didn’t even notice until later that he looked like someone I’d seen somewhere in my dreams.

Later that evening he recited a four-line bit of Ogden Nash’s verse at the right moment, and I really began to take notice. I rattled my four-line favourite in return and thought I’d really scored when he asked at the end of the party if he could take me back to the dorm. Alas, as we arrived at his car, I found it filled with four other girls whom he was dropping off. Here was the gallant car owner doing his brotherly duty and getting the girls home on time! I didn’t expect special attention after that and I wasn’t disappointed.
People went steady in our day, too, but Keith Hunt didn’t. We went to collegiate activities in groups. Our SCF affairs were in groups. Sometimes I was with Keith, other times with different members of SCF. It was fun, uninvolved, and an ideal way to get to know a number of people very well. The same night Keith led our SCF Bible study I wrote home, “I’ve met a man who is the kind I’d like to marry. But he doesn’t seem interested in girls, and if he were, he wouldn’t look at me. But at least it’s satisfying to know there is such a man.”

Time went on, and without my keeping tab on the checklist, Keith Hunt was revealing himself more and more to be everything I admired. One night after he walked me home from the Union grill where several of us had been having Cokes together, I realised what was happening. Nothing seemed more foolishly feminine to me than to develop a liking for a fellow who didn’t reciprocate. As far as I knew Keith wasn’t interested in me, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of time and emotional energy dreaming about what probably would never come to pass. I remember getting down by my bed that night and saying, “Lord, I want to concentrate on loving You. Please keep my heart until You show me what’s right.” No one else knew how I felt. This was private — between the Lord and me — and that’s a good way to keep the affairs of the heart.

March came all too quickly and Keith had finished his engineering degree in the middle of the year. He took me to a concert alone for the first time the night before he left school. We had a lovely evening together. He was a good friend and in past days we had enjoyed hilarious times with a continual duel of wit and banter. But this night was different — a wistful goodbye to college days.
He wrote to me after that. Clever letters that made me laugh and serious letters about things he was thinking. Mostly it was just the fun of friendship, open and free, a good kind of sharing that made me glad to have him as a friend. Just knowing him made me a better person, for he added many dimensions to my life.

So secure and unassuming was our friendship that when it came Spring banquet time and he was invited back to State to be the Master of Ceremonies, he sent word via a friend asking if I would go to the banquet with him. That’s hardly the romantic way to invite a girl to a big affair. If I had thought it was a romantic occasion, I’d never have gone. But in keeping with our tongue-in-cheek repartee, I wrote: “John Alden has spoken. I accept your invitation with pleasure, Captain Standish.” Among my souvenirs is the answer I received from him later: a small leather-bound volume of Longfellow’s The Courtship of Miles Standish. Among my souvenirs also are samples of his humorous prose, his favourite famous poems and the infamous ones he wrote himself to fit the situation. I liked him because he thought like an engineer, but had all the magical extras.

To my surprise, while I was home for summer vacation I received a letter from Keith, telling me his engineering firm was transferring him, and the path from his home to his new location led right past my door. Could he come for Sunday dinner? He came, met my family, and went for a walk with me to see my childhood haunts. Before leaving he mentioned he’d be making this trip next weekend, and could he please come again. I thought he must have liked my mother’s cooking and invited him to come back.
When he returned, we picnicked with my family, went to church and attended a family birthday party. Another gay time. And then it happened.

I had asked the Lord to keep my heart until He showed me what was right. I can honestly say the Lord answered my prayer. I believe He specialises in heart-keeping when we really mean business and cooperate with Him by avoiding day-dreaming about the unknown. I had no reason to think Keith was more than a special friend. I had been regularly dating another fellow. But all this time God was keeping my heart because He knew what He was going to do. Now He released my heart’s response. And I’ll never forget that feeling. Instead of the friend with whom I liked to banter, all of a sudden our relationship changed. As we rode home from church I felt an overwhelming love for Keith. With pounding heart, I stole a sly look at him as we drove into my sister’s yard for my nephew’s birthday party. And then I didn’t have time to think about it anymore as the family swept in.

One hour later I knew why God had released my heart and let me realise how much I loved Keith. It was the right time and the right place — a beautiful spot in the moonlight. Then Keith, who had never so much as held my hand, kissed me, told me he loved me and wanted to marry me. This is almost too precious a moment to even discuss with anyone else. I share it because I think the way Keith acted was in the highest of Christian standards. I knew he had never even kissed any other girl and that this was not a light moment for him. His kiss was not a selfish exploitation to see if I revved his engines and if he wanted me for a wife. Rather, he committed himself to me with that kiss in holiness and honour.

Because neither of us had previous, confusing romantic involvement, we knew our love to be the will of God. We didn’t have to wonder if this was genuine because we had not been physically excited from months of petting. We knew. And it was beautiful, not tainted by our mistakes. It was as if God was right there in that car and said, “This is My love for you.” I believe that the surest way to be confused about the will of God is to get so emotionally involved you can’t think straight. I believe Christian young men need to investigate what Paul is saying in I Thessalonians 4:4 when he says, “...that each one of you know how to take a wife for himself in holiness and honour, not in the passion of lust like heathen who do not know God...” (RSV).

Secondly, I was impressed by Keith’s Christian maturity in knowing that it isn't right to tell a girl you love her unless you also express your desire a tthe same time to take care of her for the rest of your life. Love of a man for a woman must be a total commitment of life; not just an emotional feeling. To say I love you without promise of marriage is to deny the meaning of love, how can a girl respond if she isn't sure of what he means by love?I shall always be grateful to God for helping Keith to commit himself so honestly and completely that I could respond with the newly released love that had been growing for months within me.

Now I smile at my girlhood ambition to be a foreign correspondent. It’s the wise, satisfied smile of a woman who has found fulfilment in the will of God. It was good to want to be, to do, to learn. God used all of this to make me into the wife Keith needed and wanted. And for me, Keith is just what I needed, what I want and admire. He is a man of God, the man God chose for me, the leader of our home. I’ve been able to say to our son, “Be like your father, for he pleases the Lord.” Nothing can ever happen to make us wonder whether we did our own choosing and made a mistake. This was His plan and it’s been good and perfect. And it keeps getting better all the time.

丹麥今起徵收肥胖稅

　　由10月1日起，丹麥開始為所有含飽和脂肪量逾2.3%的食物，徵收「肥胖稅」，成為全球首個國家徵收這稅種的國家。

　　丹麥人為了減低稅收的影響，大量採購牛油及薯片等食物，令超級市場內的致肥食物，被搶購一空。

　　根據丹麥政府的規定，含飽和脂肪逾2.3%的食物每公斤飽和脂肪徵稅16克朗（約20港元）。政府希望藉由法律推動國民健康，降低肥胖人口比例。

　　根據傳媒的計算， 250克一包的牛油將會漲價14.1%，橄欖油漲價7.1%，就連薯片、碎肉都漲價了。

　　丹麥政府預計，這一行動將為國家帶來大約24億港元的新稅收，同時減少國民大約10%的飽和脂肪攝入量和15%的牛油攝入量。

　　儘盡管丹麥的肥胖人口比例不到10%、略低於歐洲平均水平，丹麥的食物與經濟研究院還是指出，全國早死的人群中有4%是因為攝入了過多飽和脂肪所致。

Burberry Body Fragrance 2011

Surprised by the ads of new Burberry Body fragrance which was just launched couple of days ago.
This fragrance is inspired by their own famous trench coat, however, i think that the ads doesn't really reflect the elegant and decent side of Burberry. and as a marketing graduate, i really think that this ads doesn't convey the same messages and images of what Burberry is in the past. The high-end, decent, elegant, grand, British and a little bit "old" sides of Burberry. Yes... may be they are still using the same colours and logos, but thru this ads, i just felt that it "declassed" the brand image. but, who knows, may be this is actually what Burberry wants to tell us!? it's affordable and for everybody who wants to be an attractive woman? hehe I don't really know.

All the comments above is just my personal opinion as a marketing graduate, no offence to anyone who is Burberry super fan =) If i happen to see this fragrance, i would definitely wanna have a try too!

and then this news just appeared in the hk yahoo! hehe Happy that he is returning home :)

南極皇帝企鵝「快樂大腳」（Happy Feet，名稱源自同名電影，港譯《踢躂小企鵝》）6月因迷路，滯留離棲地逾3000公里的新西蘭北島海灘，並因誤食沙子被帶到惠靈頓動物園接受治療和照顧。康復後的「快樂大腳」於8月29日乘坐考察船，由惠靈頓出發回歸南極家鄉，工作人員昨日在南冰洋的新西蘭坎貝爾島（Campbell Island）以北，準備放牠下海，讓牠自行游回家。

工作人員稱，他們將裝着企鵝的特製冰盒，放在濕水帆布上，開箱後，要輕推企鵝背部牠才滑入海中，下水後牠探頭望一望船上的人，然後消失於大海之中。獸醫預計牠可能在海中遇上同伴，但仍需游約2000公里才到南極。

C: tonight is the best time i have in this week indeed. I really thank God for you all, all the foods, games, chitchat, photos and dancing truly refreshed me! not physically but mentally and spiritually! I am so thankful to have you girls in my life and appreciate all your presence in Brisbane. Tonight, few of us went down to sunnybank to have dinner with a friend whose birthday is coming soon. We are truly blessed to have this friend, not only that he treated us dinner (He insists..haha) , but he blesses us with wonderful music and laughter as well.

We really enjoyed seeing and listening him playing. one of the song that he played was "she". and It's the theme song of the movie Notting Hill. Few of us were saying that this friend can actually play for Unidus Fundraising, probably he will raise a lot of money thru his playing.

I am blessed today.
Because i got to witness the water baptism of one of our sisters in Christ , Jean.
I just got to know her couple of weeks ago after i came back from my holiday. The 4 old UQ4, new UQ8 girls, including Jean, are truly the blessing to our groups. They are different in backgrounds, cultures and personalities, yet they are very closed to each other in this family of God. I am just blessed even in my conversation with each of them during the past few weeks. Really hope to get to know them more in the coming friday during the girl's night and we will truly be knitted into one as UQ8.

It's been a whole month i haven't put up anything on the blog.
It was an exciting month in deed.

1 week after Joey and Daisy's wedding, it was this long waited Shin Yee and Rayson's wedding.
It was awesome! Apparently, the style between this two weddings are so different but God did speak to me thru both wonderful couples.

Thanks for inviting me =) I believe that God has used two of you and your wedding to speak to many people.

another blast was no other things but my beloved Ee Tien. It was such a great time spending with her for that 10 days. we were 24/7 together except that night i needed to practice P&W.
We sleep together, laugh together, drink champian together, cry together, suffer together, hving fun together, eating all the nice foods together, missing Martina together and cooking together. We simply share every single moment together. Thank God for such a wonderful sister, best friend and ex-housemate in my life. She just just just makes such a big different in my life. and I thank God more for blessing us to have this time of reunion that we can share what we have been doing without each other in the past 1 year. I thank God for her who i can share deeply. and I thank God more for using me to speak to her life. I know that God loves her sososoosososoos much and there is this super great, the best, plan ahead for her to discover. Ee Tien, make sure u know what u are doing ya!

it was great. so refreshing. it's one of the best conferences thru out these years.
the preachers and messages were great, but it all can't compare to the strong presence of God in that place. the fire was reignited inside me to run this race for Him!

see..!? this November is so happening. of course, there were few challenges which i went thru this month, but i consider it rubbish (haha) comparing to those what God has blessed me in Nov.

I'm so looking forwards to December. wait, i will share a bit more in the coming week.

研究人員今天說，如果你家愛犬趁你外出時破壞家具，這顯示牠可能是隻悲觀的狗。

這份研究發現，有的狗狗天生是憂鬱小生，有的卻是陽光小子。

該研究撰稿人是英國布里斯托大學（BristolUniversity）動物福祉和行為部門的負責人曼德教授（Mike Mendl）。他說：「我們知道人類情緒會影響判斷力，快樂的人比較會從正面判斷狀況不明的情勢。」他說：「我們的研究顯示，狗也是這樣。」

為衡量狗狗的心理狀態，研究人員先訓練狗的認知，房間一側的狗碗裝有飼料，房間另一側的狗碗則是空碗。接下來，工作人員把狗碗放在房間中間的「中立區」。

就如同快樂的人會正面看待任何情況，樂觀的狗狗會衝到碗前，認為狗碗裡有飼料。但悲觀的狗狗就會猶豫，或者是跑得慢一點。

這項研究刊登在「當代生物」（Current Biology）期刊。該研究針對2所英國動物中心的24隻狗進行研究，結果發現這些狗一旦離開飼主，牠們的性情就跟行為有關聯。

樂觀、看到狗碗半滿的狗狗，獨處時較為平靜，確信飼主會回來。但悲觀的狗狗較可能憂慮、吠叫、行為不端。

曼德說，全英1000萬隻狗狗大約有半數會出現某種程度的「分離焦慮」。

他說：「飼主不應擺脫焦慮的狗狗或對牠們不理不睬，而是應該要了解這些狗可能有情緒問題，尋找治療。」

i suppose to post these pictures up on facebook..but i can't upload it (obviously it's the problem of facebook, they keep changing all the settings, like photos uploading system and chatbox)..it's so not fun to use now. the chatbox always jams.argh! if the problem continues to happen, probably i will leave facebook very soon!

anyway, here it is, i didn't make cake for quite some times, wanna make one for my mehmeh last time, but i was so busy with my assignments =( actually i am very busy now also, just that i commit myself to do this and give myself a break before the coming 3 crazy weeks.

I am quite happy with what i have made, can be better tho, in terms of the level of taste and texture of the cake
Level of taste: i can add a bit of Rum to enhance the chocolate taste, but i personally dun really like the taste of rum..so i decided not to put.
Texture of the cake: i felt that i can add a thin crispy layer to enhance the texture. and i believe that it will give the excitment when ppl taste it.

and what an interesting day today, this morning, we went for C4K induction, we had a good time in signing ppl up for different kid activities. and this year, there are two new interesting elements added into this face painting team, 1) we finally have guys joinning us (James (the Venurs' bf), Mark and Clement) , we are no longer purely girls' teams yeah!!!! 2) they are all inexperienced..Sooooo, this year i gotta make sure that the practice time will be long enough for them to get enough practice!

after that, i had a super interesting lunch with my meh, my meh's bf and my meh's bf's shepherd. thank God for this lunch, i gotta know the couple more and see that God is really doing a great work in their lives individually, moulding two of them by all the incidents and slowly bring them to see the greater picture that God has for two of them in the future.
I am really happy and blessed to be there to listen to all their sweet and funny moments and be able to witness their journey with our Heavenly Father from the beginning til now. May God continue to bless this couple who have such a great heart for God and the willingness of putting God in the centre and before all else. I also learned a lot from the sharing of my meh's bf's shepherd, he got this BIG-BRO gift from God, like Rayson (another big-bro), although he said that he is very nagging and also "nag-ag-ag-ag-agnag", I see the heart he has for God and for His people. It's the way that God put in him to change ppl's life. I really believe so.

after the lunch, i went home and sleep for 3 hours, that's why i am still here now coz i took such a long afternoon nap.

this evening....hmmn...God gave me test...my friend said that God's blessings and helps are timely. I believe that the test from God is timely too. Hahahahah..God is a timely God =) I had this problem that i hv surrendered and commited to God. But today somehow, i have let myself dwelling in it again for few minutes and.... right after i told God "NOOO, i shouldn't think about it, God please help me"... and the root of the problem just happened on me right after i said that. God is really God! He is so real!!!! I am still being tested til this moment.. but I believe that God has grown me in the fruit of the Spirit, especially in self-control.. I am strive to be a living testimony for Him, so i am commited to what God desires me to do and to please Him.

and tonite, i had a good time eating dinner with Susan (another meh of mine), we discussed over what is our criteria of our future husbands. It can be really cool to have some girls' talks like this. we should do a bit more in the future! after that, we went to watch Eat, Pray, Love with Grace, Joyce, Andy and auntie. It kinda funny to watch with Susan and her relatives, yes, her relatives from both Dad and Mom's sides. the movie is pretty good, but not really what i have expected. hmmn..i am not very impressed with the story line but amazed on how beautiful Julia Roberts is. She is a real actress. I really like her =)

okie..it's nearly 4am..that's pretty much of my sharing of yesterday and today..yawnnnn* time for me to go to bed!

聖經修訂版耶穌不再「遊行」

「大衞從床上起來，在王宮的平頂上遊行……」《聖經》舊約中提到以色列王的大衞在散步，用上「遊行」一詞，時移世易，「遊行」變成「上街抗爭」，意思大相逕庭。

1919年開始沿用、年屆90的和合本《聖經》，是時候要作修改；香港聖經總公會花27年時間，終完成修訂，讓新一代教徒更易明，也令聖經更普及。

遊行帶抗爭感覺改「周遊」

閱讀過《聖經》的人，或會發現不少字眼都已不合時宜，香港聖經總公會總幹事梁林天慧指，一直有信徒覺得部分《聖經》語句難以理解，為令人更清楚明白其內容及意義，故作出修訂。

原來數十年前很順暢的字詞及語句，隨時代轉變，含義亦大大改變。

她舉例指，《聖經》提到耶穌死亡的時間是由「午正」至「申初」，但相信現今很少人知道是指甚麼時間，於是修訂為「正午」及「下午3點鐘」。

附加資料更易明普及

除時間外，一些普通動詞也起了很大變化：「未修訂版本中，耶穌在街上行走譯為『遊行』，而現時『遊行』的意思帶『抗爭』的感覺，跟原意有別，於是修訂為『周遊』。」

她指，以色列王大衞遊行的一段，亦修訂為「散步」。

除此之外，不同地方使用語言的習慣亦有分別，對同一字詞也有不同的理解，例如「教訓」一詞在台灣有負面的意思，所以修訂時，耶穌的「教訓」便改為「教導」。

要令信徒及普羅大眾了解聖經的真義，字詞以外，還需要當時的背景資料作參考，尤其對於初接觸《聖經》的人。

修訂版內特別加入不少附加資料，包括每卷聖經的開首加入了簡介，如作者資料、歷史背景和內容主旨；又有修訂前後人名及地名對照、古今度量衡對照表及地圖等；就連一些古時的節日、習俗、專門名詞，亦加入詳細的解釋。

忠於原著僅改2成

不過，梁太強調，修訂的原則是盡量忠於原文，希望保存和合本的味道，又能符合今日中文的用法和習慣。事實上，經過反覆審批後，新約只有15%被改動，舊約亦僅20%。

字詞改變能令《聖經》更普及，和合本修訂版的售價更比坊間便宜，分別僅85港元及150港元，梁太認為：「希望降低《聖經》的門檻，令《聖經》更普及。」

擬推簡體字版

《和合本修訂版》出版後，中國基督教會計劃年底在內地出版簡體字的《和合本修訂版》對照《聖經》，供內地人士閱讀。

It was such a happy friday today.

Shopping : I hang out with Yek in the afternoon..it was a good time, we walked around the city..went to few places to try clothes and managed to get a plain black top and beige colour short pants..it was only 25 bucks!

and i bought a wooden heart in Typo as well..it's such a nice piece of WOOD..but i gotta think about what i am going to do with it.

Praise and Worship Practice: Dexter forgot to leave the key outside the house, and i thought that the 4pm Praise and Worship can't be done anymore. and i keep calling different ppl to think of a place to practice..and finally God provides us Susan place..yeah!
and we enjoyed so much of the time we sing together during practice and we have Yek kindly volunteer to be our special guest drummer..it was a really good time.

Special outing: another special thing of today is that our bible discussion went outdoor! we went down to the Munro street grass field to play game! we need to blindfold each other to walk thru the path without stepping on the obstacles! it's such a fun time..and some ppl got bullied..haha..we all were trying to distract them when they were walking thru..this is the first time i felt that Judah 8 can be so alive!

mooncake : Gabriel bought back some snow skin mooncakes from Singapore! I have been wanting to eat mooncakes since last Monday and finally got few bites to sactisfy my craving!

oh ya!

thank God for friends around me.. I just felt so blessed to have so many friends who volunteers to clock my driving hours. Eugene, Wen Huey, Robin and Sunny. i think i should ask few more who are driving an auto car..coz i can't clock Robin's manual car..so i should get different ppl to share some loads =)

but anyway, i just feel so blessed and happy today =)

P.S. i went to have a smell on the LOVE, Chloe perfume..hmmn..the name is good..but the smell doesn't really give me a sense of love, i really dunno why it's called LOVE..i would still prefer the original Chloe!

一種非常神奇又有速效的收小腹運動，大家一起來做！

而雖然說是「運動」，但基本上只需躺著5分鐘就可以了，根本動也不需要動！
實行之前讓我們先看看小腹凸出的成因。小腹位置本來是靠腹肌的收緊和盆骨的向前頂來維持人體天然曲線，可是隨著年齡和懶惰度增加，腹肌鬆弛之餘、眾個內臟也因變重而下墜，壓著腹肌和令盆骨變形，最終令小腹凸出。
準備好快速收腹沒？首先去拿一條綁頭髮的橡筋，然後找個舒服的地方面朝天躺平，用橡筋把左右兩邊的腳趾公綁在一起，在腰下墊一個咕o臣或坐墊，最後雙手往頭頂方向伸直放平，令整個人呈一字型，就是如此而已，這樣輕輕鬆鬆躺個5分鐘後，再去量度小腹圍，一般減個3至6cm也沒有難度。每天持續做的話，小腹可望一天一天地消失。

“You’ll never find a guy like that, Sis,” my brother said late one night when we were having a session covering everything from goals in life to ideal marriage partners. I was home from college; he was on furlough from the Marines, and we were catching up on many new ideas the adventures of the past year had produced.

I admitted frankly my disappointment in so many of the fellows I met. They were nice guys, all right, but kind of “wimpy”. I was referring to fellows with no backbone, no ideas, and worst of all, who let me run them. I naively declared that the man who could interest me would be someone with definite objectives arising from conviction; who was able to discipline his efforts in that direction. I’d be even more intrigued if he happened to like ideas and be somewhat clever. As the evening wore on I added more and more qualifications, until my brother gave up in despair. Who did I think I was, he wanted to know, the Queen of Sheba?

I realised the wishfulness of my thinking, but the high ideals I set for a husband proved to be important after all. God used them to keep me from many foolish entanglements that would have done little to benefit either my character or experience. It wasn’t just men I was idealistic about, it was everything. I remember at thirteen writing in my journal, “Hitch your wagon to a star”. The allusion was somewhat corny perhaps, and theologically unsound, but I liked it. A couple of pages later I wrote, “Aim high and keep your aim”. Apparently these concepts became part of my thinking.

Life had so many possibilities. I used to ponder a lot about all there was to know and see and do. There were books to read, places I’d never been, people I’d never know about. I wish now I’d devoted time to mastering a musical instrument or even excelling in one sport. I must confess that I considered some of my girl friends who were boy-crazy rather foolish. I liked boys and I expected to marry someday, but to have one’s happiness dependent on who called and when seemed a rather precarious existence. It was also like admitting defeat, as if one didn’t have any independent source of fun. And to date indiscriminately in order to be popular — I considered this foolish.

I not only thought about these things, I also wrote them down. When I was an eighth-grader one of my teachers suggested that I buy a journal or diary with blank pages. She encouraged me to write down my thoughts when I felt strongly about something or read a passage of great beauty. I liked this idea and bought such a book. On those pages I poured out feelings which often even I didn’t understand. It was good emotional therapy, and it was also good intellectual exercise as I was forced to put feelings into words. Reading them now, years later, is like seeing myself grow up.

On one page I had written a note to myself as a freshman in college called “Remember”. It goes like this:

When you think about marriage, gal, don’t forget what you think it should be and don’t be content to settle for less.

Remember you want a man who likes to walk in the rain, read good books on a quiet evening, look at the stars and learn new things, who likes to rake leaves in the autumn and listen to good music.

He should be clean and good, somebody who loves God as you do, who wants his life to count for something, who won’t settle for a small world. Don’t forget. Remember.

Sitting on the attic floor looking through a box of old keepsakes recently, I read this account and looked across at my husband as he dug through some of his old memoirs. I thanked God for putting the dream in my heart for this kind of a person so I could recognise the man God had for me.

Fortunately I didn’t spend a lot of time thinking about romance in my early college days. I majored in journalism at Michigan State University, toying with the idea of becoming either a newspaper woman (preferably a foreign correspondent) or an advertising wizard.
My faith grew tremendously in my years at Michigan State and I was discovering more and more that the most important part of my life was knowing God through Jesus Christ. I had known Him as the truth and had accepted Him as my Saviour many years earlier. Now I was discovering Him was a real person, my dearest friend. I guess I can honestly say that it was during my college years I really came to love Christ and to find living for Him the goal that mattered most in life.

After a freshman year without meeting any other Christians on campus God brought me into the local Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship group known as Spartan Christian Fellowship (SCF). Meeting Christian students who had a vitality in Jesus Christ that I didn’t gave impetus to my spiritual growth. The Bible became a new book, exciting to read and share with the other girls who lived in our dorm. God was becoming someone to trust in the most practical areas of life.

The faculty sponsor of SCF and his wife, Paul and Doris DeKoning, often gave me a ride home from church on Sunday mornings. I didn’t catch on too fast, but the year I was a junior in college Doris kept talking about this handsome fellow who had been active in SCF and who was back from service to finish up his degree at State. Had I met him yet? She’d ask me this question each Sunday on the way home. Then she’d remark about how terrific he was. Somehow we missed meeting for the first month-and-a-half of school. She asked me about him several times, but even then I didn’t remember the name. I thought she was just pleased that our SCF group had some new male leadership.

And so it was that our SCF Halloween party found me sitting next to the most wonderful man in the world and I didn’t even know it. We were busy playing a silly game called “Zip-Zap”. The person who was “it” would stand in the middle of the room, point his finger at a victim and say either “Zip,” which meant that you give the name of the person on your right, or “Zap,” which called for the name of the person on your left. A good get-acquainted game. And I kept leaning over and asking, “What did you say your name was?” because I was so worried I’d be called on that I wasn’t concentrating very hard on the name. “Keith Hunt,” he’d say each time, and I was so involved I didn’t even notice until later that he looked like someone I’d seen somewhere in my dreams.

Later that evening he recited a four-line bit of Ogden Nash’s verse at the right moment, and I really began to take notice. I rattled my four-line favourite in return and thought I’d really scored when he asked at the end of the party if he could take me back to the dorm. Alas, as we arrived at his car, I found it filled with four other girls whom he was dropping off. Here was the gallant car owner doing his brotherly duty and getting the girls home on time! I didn’t expect special attention after that and I wasn’t disappointed.
People went steady in our day, too, but Keith Hunt didn’t. We went to collegiate activities in groups. Our SCF affairs were in groups. Sometimes I was with Keith, other times with different members of SCF. It was fun, uninvolved, and an ideal way to get to know a number of people very well. The same night Keith led our SCF Bible study I wrote home, “I’ve met a man who is the kind I’d like to marry. But he doesn’t seem interested in girls, and if he were, he wouldn’t look at me. But at least it’s satisfying to know there is such a man.”

Time went on, and without my keeping tab on the checklist, Keith Hunt was revealing himself more and more to be everything I admired. One night after he walked me home from the Union grill where several of us had been having Cokes together, I realised what was happening. Nothing seemed more foolishly feminine to me than to develop a liking for a fellow who didn’t reciprocate. As far as I knew Keith wasn’t interested in me, so I didn’t want to spend a lot of time and emotional energy dreaming about what probably would never come to pass. I remember getting down by my bed that night and saying, “Lord, I want to concentrate on loving You. Please keep my heart until You show me what’s right.” No one else knew how I felt. This was private — between the Lord and me — and that’s a good way to keep the affairs of the heart.

March came all too quickly and Keith had finished his engineering degree in the middle of the year. He took me to a concert alone for the first time the night before he left school. We had a lovely evening together. He was a good friend and in past days we had enjoyed hilarious times with a continual duel of wit and banter. But this night was different — a wistful goodbye to college days.
He wrote to me after that. Clever letters that made me laugh and serious letters about things he was thinking. Mostly it was just the fun of friendship, open and free, a good kind of sharing that made me glad to have him as a friend. Just knowing him made me a better person, for he added many dimensions to my life.

So secure and unassuming was our friendship that when it came Spring banquet time and he was invited back to State to be the Master of Ceremonies, he sent word via a friend asking if I would go to the banquet with him. That’s hardly the romantic way to invite a girl to a big affair. If I had thought it was a romantic occasion, I’d never have gone. But in keeping with our tongue-in-cheek repartee, I wrote: “John Alden has spoken. I accept your invitation with pleasure, Captain Standish.” Among my souvenirs is the answer I received from him later: a small leather-bound volume of Longfellow’s The Courtship of Miles Standish. Among my souvenirs also are samples of his humorous prose, his favourite famous poems and the infamous ones he wrote himself to fit the situation. I liked him because he thought like an engineer, but had all the magical extras.

To my surprise, while I was home for summer vacation I received a letter from Keith, telling me his engineering firm was transferring him, and the path from his home to his new location led right past my door. Could he come for Sunday dinner? He came, met my family, and went for a walk with me to see my childhood haunts. Before leaving he mentioned he’d be making this trip next weekend, and could he please come again. I thought he must have liked my mother’s cooking and invited him to come back.
When he returned, we picnicked with my family, went to church and attended a family birthday party. Another gay time. And then it happened.

I had asked the Lord to keep my heart until He showed me what was right. I can honestly say the Lord answered my prayer. I believe He specialises in heart-keeping when we really mean business and cooperate with Him by avoiding day-dreaming about the unknown. I had no reason to think Keith was more than a special friend. I had been regularly dating another fellow. But all this time God was keeping my heart because He knew what He was going to do. Now He released my heart’s response. And I’ll never forget that feeling. Instead of the friend with whom I liked to banter, all of a sudden our relationship changed. As we rode home from church I felt an overwhelming love for Keith. With pounding heart, I stole a sly look at him as we drove into my sister’s yard for my nephew’s birthday party. And then I didn’t have time to think about it anymore as the family swept in.

One hour later I knew why God had released my heart and let me realise how much I loved Keith. It was the right time and the right place — a beautiful spot in the moonlight. Then Keith, who had never so much as held my hand, kissed me, told me he loved me and wanted to marry me. This is almost too precious a moment to even discuss with anyone else. I share it because I think the way Keith acted was in the highest of Christian standards. I knew he had never even kissed any other girl and that this was not a light moment for him. His kiss was not a selfish exploitation to see if I revved his engines and if he wanted me for a wife. Rather, he committed himself to me with that kiss in holiness and honour.

Because neither of us had previous, confusing romantic involvement, we knew our love to be the will of God. We didn’t have to wonder if this was genuine because we had not been physically excited from months of petting. We knew. And it was beautiful, not tainted by our mistakes. It was as if God was right there in that car and said, “This is My love for you.” I believe that the surest way to be confused about the will of God is to get so emotionally involved you can’t think straight. I believe Christian young men need to investigate what Paul is saying in I Thessalonians 4:4 when he says, “...that each one of you know how to take a wife for himself in holiness and honour, not in the passion of lust like heathen who do not know God...” (RSV).

Secondly, I was impressed by Keith’s Christian maturity in knowing that it isn't right to tell a girl you love her unless you also express your desire a tthe same time to take care of her for the rest of your life. Love of a man for a woman must be a total commitment of life; not just an emotional feeling. To say I love you without promise of marriage is to deny the meaning of love, how can a girl respond if she isn't sure of what he means by love?I shall always be grateful to God for helping Keith to commit himself so honestly and completely that I could respond with the newly released love that had been growing for months within me.

Now I smile at my girlhood ambition to be a foreign correspondent. It’s the wise, satisfied smile of a woman who has found fulfilment in the will of God. It was good to want to be, to do, to learn. God used all of this to make me into the wife Keith needed and wanted. And for me, Keith is just what I needed, what I want and admire. He is a man of God, the man God chose for me, the leader of our home. I’ve been able to say to our son, “Be like your father, for he pleases the Lord.” Nothing can ever happen to make us wonder whether we did our own choosing and made a mistake. This was His plan and it’s been good and perfect. And it keeps getting better all the time.

i really wanna blog something meaningful or ideas came after thoughts..but all my brain juice is currently not available for my blog..i used all up on my assignmentsss..orrrrrrrr i should say..i am not really a natural writer. not even in chinese.

haha..so i would like to blog something very personal..yet it's on my mind on that time which i can't get rid of.

hmmn...it's not been very successful recently for my diet..i want my weight to go down..but it keeps going up..fair enough, i never stop eating, i never do exercise. so i should expect it to go up rather than remain or go down.

it makes me worry a lot , coz my graduation is pressing in. According to the timetable from QUT, it should be around 13–17 December...today is 19 August..it means that i still have about 4 months to LOSE WEIGHT...!!!!!!
Time flies..i still remember the time i spent with Ee Tien during the first half of last year. I got her to be my accountable dieter..we ate healthily together, we exercised together, we encouraged each together..it was definately an unforgettable period of my life..I was so motivated and determined to keep fit...like never before..right now, i think i need that motivation back. I realize that it's not easy to do it alone and also the importance to have an accountable person..anyone wanna be the ONE??? or u can participate in my diet journey by reminding me all the times of my goal =)

u may be thinking "wow..Cintia wanna lose 10 more??"

stress time is always the time that i will look at what i like but what i would never buy.

I really wanna get a Diana Mini Camera.
buying it itself is not very costly, but it is a long term investment seriously. coz it costs a lot to develop the films..

I also went to forever 21.com to take a look at the stuffs there...
online "window shopping" becomes the activity for me to relief my stress..

This pink ribbon bag is very cute..if i were 2-3 years younger..i would probably buy it.
but ya..it's a bit too pink for me ..
once i turned into 24 years of age..i realize that i don't like pink that much compared to last time although i still like it :P

but i did get a pretty similar bag for myself about 1.5 month ago during my birthday time.
it's ribbon as well..but slightly more classy and mature..it fits my age and my own ribbon fantasy :D

btw, it's a guess bag..not very cheap tho, but i got it when it was 50% off!

It's always good to have fds who can share your ups and downs to.

haven't got a group shepherding with Elysaa, Shannon and Yvonne for quite some time, it was really good and I have enjoyed so much of just sitting there and listening to each other sharing. and I have learned a lot from the shepherding content today as well..
after that, Shannon , Elysaa and I went to Cha Tea to have our second gathering..hmmn...managed to share what's been in my heart to Elysaa tonite..i finally got the chance to tell her how i am up to, I have kept it for quite some time..I felt so much relief after telling her.haha...and it's so fun to just sit there and talked about random stuffs =)

Heaps of things have just happened surround me recently..it's kind of overwhelmed.

it seems like revealing a lot issues in my life, but opportunities came along with it.

these are the Opportunities to change, grow and maturing.

after yesterday sermon of what Ray shared about Hit or Miss, I ponder the msg with the things that is happening...I know that God wants me to Hit it rather than Miss it. God wants me to obey what He has been speaking to me recently. True enough that the msg of Hit or Miss built my conviction of my decision as well as confirming me it is what i should do. It is for everyone's good and especially my own good. Although it will be a really really tough process, I can draw strength from God as it is what He intends for me to do. I have just tasted the first challenge after i took the action, seriously, it is really difficult and affects my emotion a lot. But God never fails to encourage me =) He gives me strength and joy and pick me up to walk again..He reminded me of His promises, His love and His plan for me...and I am all good now...so I should say..

There's nothing more important than GOD =D

I just had some good times with Susan and Veon in the past few days.
Susan and I went to Koorong together couple of days ago and bought more than a hundred dollars books for this holiday to read..yuppie =P also, i finally bought a Thompson Chain-reference bible..hmmn..time to start having bible study! but need to first adjust back my body clock...have been waking up at 3pm lately....
hehhehehehe..
also, I had a great day with Veon yesterday=) we had some intimate girl's talks and discovered more about each others.. Veon bought a pair of boots in Myer. and I was given a nice pinky scarf as my birthday present from Veon =D we also had a great dinner together at Veon's house..and i was introduced to watch a great christian channel called Good tv..hehheee..and have some good time talking with Grace as well..and trying the Faith-inspired Veon made avocado smoothie!

so this holiday, apart from cooking and baking for ppl, i am also inspired to make some mentoring focused plan for the second half of this year...also probably will do some knitting..hehehehehe..that's it for noww..

i have started looking forward to the student conference right now..i believe that it will be a great one..17 of us in Judah 8 are going..praise the Lord!!..

After such a busy semester, i am a bit slack right now.
hmmn.. not very sure what i am doing, seem like losing the direction or goal of a student at the moment..but it's good that i start realizing it after just a couple of weeks holidays. Probably i need to start planning to do something meaningful or creative..and won't get myself to slack until losing the motivation for next semester.

from today until 9th July (student conference), i still have about 2 weeks..hmmnn..any suggestion ??

i just had a super blessed birthday last week with Judah 8 and friends! it was a blast!

i told God that i didn't really want a super big celebration since i am getting older ( don't have the energy)..and didn't wanna bother the preparation of final exams of our students. but at the same time, i scared i would feel a bit sad if there's only couple of ppl celebrating with me =((((
Hehe..God is a loving father who will never fails to show me how loved i am to Him =D
God knows me the best and brought me a meaningful birthday celebration, yet not a big one.

When i was still a bachelor student in UQ, i'd never think of staying overnight in uni.

i have never felt so much that i am like a "uni student" than before.

all the pimples come out from my forehead and nose (no more nice skin) :S

i am @ QUT now..just back to assignment from facebook..
came across this old friend's page just now..
his new song has just been released today.

i felt so warm and touched while i was listening to this song.
this song bought me back to the memory of 6 years ago when we were still in high school. i guess i am one of his earliest fan.. i still remembered i admired him since he was still involving in different singing competitions..back then i had just started joining singing competitions as well.
all of us joined debate team at the same time, we had a lot of fun times. At that time, he sang demo for some of the pop song composers from Macau and sent to hk for some hk pop singers. i still remembered we had MD players and i got copies of the demos from his MD...i kept listening to his "songs" since then =)

i always admire him on his persistence in pursuing his dream...being a singer in Macau will never be easy coz the industry is still in the early stage of development. but he is doing so well there and getting more and more popular...I am just so happy for him when i think back the effort he has put along these years..my support always goes out to him.
and today..after recalling back all the memories, realizing that we are all in different stages and paces of our lives and pursuing different dreams...i didn't get any chance to talk to him face to face for many years after high school..we only talked a bit sometime in msn... and We can no longer like the time in high school, enjoying the simple life that we had..challengers come along the journey when we are maturing. but 1 thing that we should always remember is to keep this simple heart, never let us grow weary in what we believe we should run for.

I had a very interesting conversation just now.

here is the story:
we went to Willawong, Inala and Forest Lake for a half-day trip last saturday to have prayer walk around the Unidus land and Inala town centre. To cut the long story short, the story will mainly talk about the fish and feet incident.
It's just very simply story, we bought fish in Inala town centre there, Gab and I accidently swapped our fish and both of our feet got biten by ants in Forest Lake.

the scenario of our conversation just now was , I told him to come to my house at 5:30pm to get back his fish..and he asked me to help him to defrost it this afternoon coz he is gonna cook it tonite. and i went jogging at 4ish and i told him to give me a call before he came.
so , i just reached home and i heard someone opening our door gate and i saw him.

C: hey, why u didn't call me before u come?
G:oh ya harr..i forgot
C: i JUST came back from jogging
G: wahh so fast?????????? (coz he knew i just went out at 4ish)
C: if i dun come back, who is gonna open door for u???
G: oh ya horrrr..hahahha

what the...... LoL
then after he left...i suddenly remembered his super swollen right foot.uh hum..some of you may not know that..he and i were biten by ant..i am totally fine..was just super painful at the beginning..and he got allergy to the ant bite.

then i gave him a call..

C: hey, how's your feet?
G: huh?
C: hey, how's your feet?
G: it is alive!
C: what???
G: the fish is alive..(he is trying to joke)
C: what..how's ur feet, your swollen one?
G: oh..you are talking about it arrhhh..it's getting better now
C: that's good..
G: ...can cook already
C: ......................................................

Today is an end.. but it's also the beginning of the journey of Faith.

Faith in trusting God's plan and promises in my life.
Faith in his conviction towards what he is going to do for God.
Faith in trusting that God will provide the way out.
Faith towards the Giver but not the gift alone.

2010 is a year of faith for me personally, it is a year that i need to truly trust in God and what He has instored for me in the future. A crucial year it is, for a lot of aspects of my life. like what Elysaa shared to me couple of weeks ago, it will be a tough journey for me, i truly believe so. not only tough to go thru different challenges and difficulties in my life. but is to trust in God despite all these circumstances.

I want to run this race for God and win the prize at the end.
It is not about myself but fulfilling the calling of God in my life.
I want to be who God calls me to be.

【明報專訊】為何人們容易對薯片和朱古力蛋糕這類高脂肪食物感興趣呢？澳洲最新研究指出，原來人的味蕾除可嘗出5味外，還可嘗出第6味，就是脂肪！

澳洲迪肯大學、阿德萊德大學、新西蘭梅西大學和澳洲科學與工業研究組織（CSIRO）聯合進行研究，得出上述結論，報告刊登在《英國營養學期刊》上。澳洲迪肯大學研究負責人凱思特（Russell Keast）說﹕「我們都知道人類的舌頭可品出5種味道——甜、酸、苦、鹹和鮮味（umami，一種富蛋白質的可口味道，存在於醬油和雞湯汁等），不過通過我們的研究可以確定，人類還能品嘗出第6種味道——脂肪。」

研究員首先對30名志願者進行了味覺測試，看他們能否品味出一系列加入溶液中的脂肪酸，結果發現他們全都能分辨出脂肪酸的味道；接著，研究員又設計了一套電腦測試，看人們究竟對味道有多敏感，結果從接受測試的50人中發現，辨識脂肪味道的能力與體重有關。

對脂肪味愈敏感攝入量愈少

凱思特說﹕「我們發現那些對脂肪敏感的人，能品嘗出非常低濃度的脂肪味，因此相比那些不敏感的人，敏感者實際上攝入的脂肪量較少。另外，我們還發現他們的體重指數（BMIs）較低。」他說這一研究顯示，感知脂肪味可引發人體內的停吃反應機制。「我們所有人都愛吃脂肪食物，如果你對脂肪味不敏感，你就較難收到身體發出的停口指示。」

Finally, I found myself back on the track of the busy uni life.

A bit late to realize that this is gonna be a super hard semester for me, but thank God that it's STILL not too late. I am just in my second week.

woohhhh, while i was talking to my dear retard, i managed to count how many words am i gotta write in this semester after added up all the assignments

Guess what? it's more than a thesis that an honour student need to write.

it's 16500 words....

12 weeks left = 16500/12 = 1375 words /week

+ 1 presentation

+ 2 exams

I feel so amazed now what i can and what i got to do this semester..eventho i still hvn't started ANY of these assessments.

but i believe that there's no challenge i can not bear and i know i can do all things thru Christ who gives me strength!

pray along with me together please!

moreover, I have just started my internship in a non- profit organization called Oaktree.
I love this place and the ppl there..

!!! really need His strength, wisdom and power. may this semester be one that can testify God's goodness in my life.

Dear everyone,

I have just talked to my mom on the phone, she told me that my grandma went to hospital and may not be able to come out again :(

my grandma got diabetes and to the stage where she needs to do dialysis nearly everyday. last time when i went back to Macau in August, she had already said that one of her leg is painful and now that leg becomes swollen and black. my mom said that it is because of some problems of the blood vessel of that leg. it needs to be cut off. however, it can not be done coz my grandma got diabetes and the wound is too big for a diabetes patient.

also, my grandma got pneumonia right now, she is so weak and she can't breath probably...

Can you all pray with me together for the healing and salvation of my grandma? and also pray that God will bring the peace into my heart and i will be the light this time to shine forth His love and grace to my family during my trip back to Macau.

Harrods' Bag

coz of a very kind offer from a dear fd of my bro, i went to this Harrods website to see all the gorgeous Harrods souvenir bags.

I had been to Harrods once in mid of 2008, but i didn't realize that there are so many nice bags in the souvenirs department.. i still remembered i bought 2 things, 1 is a doggy cosmestic bag (i am currently using, yeah!) and another one was a souvenir pen for Johanan ( he requested it).

um..all these bags are very nice..but hmnnn..I got enough bags to carry :)
it's like we all have so much desires and wants, but what we actually need is just so little.
I'm still learning about this fact, dun wanna spend so much although i have failed most of the time :S

here are some bags that i found rediculously nice (my point of view, sorry if this is not your style)

this two 50's spot mini bow bags just captured all my attention when i checked the website out.
Although bow is my all time favorite, i did find this 2 bags a bit too LOUD and RED. can't really think of any clothes to match it on. i can imagine that i will look like a crazy hello kitty fans if i carry this on the street :S

I found this bag really nice coz it gives me a vintage style and feeling..it's very feminine and sweet. i did get a very similar pink and rosy cosmetic bag during the trip in NZ.

this bag have two different colours, black and dark green..I believe the dark green colour is the brand color of Harrods..but i personally don't really like dark green, dark green looks a bit old to me..haha..and i found this one really simple and classy. i can feel a sense of strong brand Loyalty if i carry this out.

this embossed patent shopper bag is simple and professional to me..it makes me think of carrying it to work and to interview. However, the occasion of carrying it can be quite limited...and I still love my Agnes b. a bit more :)
wahahha

after checking out the website really makes me feel like doing online shopping..but ya..it's kind of wasting money and i have been wasting quite a lot during this couple of months..haha oh ya..
